Gordon Wight has been designing and making contemporary furniture since 1996. He has received a number of prestigious awards including a Guild Mark and has won major national competitions. His work is shown at national and international exhibitions and can be found in leading contemporary galleries.

His unique designs range from elegant, sensual forms with subtle curves inspired by natural forms - to strong, bold pieces. In some of his work he combines exceptional marquetry skills with real artistry to create bold, stylised images with a clean, contemporary feel.

His work is characterised by fresh, original design combined with the highest standards of craftsmanship. His aim is to create extrordinary furniture that will delight both his clients and himself.

Gordon primarily works to private commission but also produces a small number of speculative pieces for exhibition and selected galleries. His clients value the individual attention which is an integral part of his design and making process.
